Scott Sports has signed up with Vendor-Link Cycling and will begin enrolling its dealer base in the system to help reduce stock outs and supply the right products at the right time.

“One of the most compelling solutions offered by Vendor-Link is amlbs.com which stands for ‘At My Local Bike Shop’,” said Adrian Montgomery. “For retailers, the tool offers an opportunity to make their product availability visible to online bike shoppers who can then go buy at their local store. We intend to tie this capability to our brand website and refer shoppers from the product page to stores that have the item in stock. Combine this with the new Vendor-Link feature that will allow a buyer to reserve the item at the shop, and we’ve finally created a system that leverages the enormous investment we make in our website and drive customers interested in Scott products to our dealers.”

“We think there is no better way to manage inventory levels than with the tool Vendor-Link offers,” commented Montgomery. “This unique information service merges all of the current POS software used by our accounts into a simple report of what is selling in real-time. As retailers are running lean inventory levels, we want to have ready for them the inventory they will need for fill-in sales during the season. In order to accurately forecast and better respond, we NEED to know what is selling in real time.
