Schutt Sports joined the Leon Lett Foundation this weekend in a presentation to the YMCA in Monroe, LA. The foundation bought and gave away 50 youth helmets from Schutt and the company donated an additional 20 youth shoulder pads.

Lett, a former NFL star who now coaches at the University of Louisiana Monroe, along with a representative from Schutt Sports – the largest helmet manufacturer in the world – delivered the gear during the youth's morning football practice Saturday (Oct. 30).

“We believe in the power of youth football, not only from a game perspective but from the many life lessons kids learn from playing a team sport,” Glenn Beckmann, marketing communications manager of Schutt Sports said. “And we're always eager to work with a player of Leon's caliber in providing young players with great new equipment and opportunities.”
