SCARPA North America has retained Base Camp Communications to oversee its public relations and brand communications, effective immediately.

“Because of its nearly 70-year heritage in the Montebelluna district of Italy, the SCARPA name is synonimous with quality footwear for serious outdoor pursuits. As the SCARPA brand continues to grow in the U.S. after establishing its new North American headquarters six months ago, Base Camp Communications will help us broadcast and reinforce the company’s commitment to leading-edge footwear for skiers, climbers, hikers, runners and other outdoorspeople in the U.S. and Canada,” said Chris Clark, sales and marketing manager for SCARPA North America.

Base Camp Communications will work with SCARPA to develop a brand-communications campaign that builds awareness of the company’s rich heritage in boot making, boot fitting and outdoor sports, and that also highlights how SCARPA continues to lead the way in technical boot design and superior fit. The campaign also will show how SCARPA North America will be responsive to the North American market, both at the product design and at the sales and marketing levels.
