The Salomon Store in Vancouver contributed $1,500 towards the search and rescue efforts of North Shore Search and Rescue. The donation came from a percentage of sales from the October 6 grand opening of the store.
Connie deBoer, the Director of North Shore Rescue was grateful for the donation and says, “It's not who you know it’s who you help.”
Salomon Store Vancouver also awarded customer Sean Rusling with a trip to Annecy, France to see Salomon Headquarters and ski the French Alps this winter. All visitors to the store from October 6 to October 10 had the opportunity to enter the in store draw for the chance to win the trip with no purchase necessary.
The new store features a design concept that is the first of its kind in the world and features the influence of the mountains with way finding codes and symbols. Although the ambiance is rustic contemporary, technology plays an important role in the store's unique setting.
“The Salomon Store has a giant touch screen system that allows customers to discover our athletes, watch videos and learn about all of our products,” says Pascal Clausse, Salomon Head of Business Development and Retail. “There is also a digital kiosk where customers can explore sport specific footwear options and their technical benefits, while the Footlab offers a dedicated fitting center to ensure a perfect fit for Salomon’s array of technical footwear.”
“Vancouver is a city that unquestionably embodies the essence of Salomon,” says Clausse. “This city and its people, and the environment surrounding them, is the essence of mountain sports.”
