Salomon appointed Travis Hildebrand as its new running product merchandising manager. Hildebrand will be an integral part of the continued market leading growth for the brand.

Hildebrand joins Salomon with more than 30 years of experience in running as a top 10 specialty store general manager, coach and college athlete. After earning degrees in exercise science and a MBA in business at the University of Utah, where he was also captain of the track team and Mountain West Conference 5,000m/10,000m champion, he went to work at one of the top specialty run stores in the country, Salt Lake Running Company. Running is still one of his priorities-both on the road and trail.

“Since entering into road running and expanding trail running are part of our strategy, we are pleased to have Travis head up the road running category, “ says Lance Taylor, United States commercial footwear manager. “His passion for the sport and industry know-how are a huge asset to helping Salomon provide innovation and solutions to the running market.”

Hildebrand lives with his wife and three boys near Ogden, Utah. Hailing from Etna, CA, Hildebrand grew up at the crossing points of the Shasta, Trinity and Klamath National Forests where his love for running, snowboarding, skiing, camping and road biking was fostered.

“I’m thrilled to join the Salomon footwear team,” says Hildebrand. “Salomon is such an iconic and authentic brand that is pushing the sport I love in progressive and innovative ways. It’s truly an honor to help shape the future of the brand.”
