Salewa North America, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Salewa International based in Bolzano Italy, expanded its U.S. sales force with new additions covering the Southeast, Rocky Mountains, and Upper Midwest.

Salewa North Americas suite of brands include: the Salewa alpine brand, Dynafit backcountry ski brand, Silvretta, known for its AT frame bindings; and Pomoca, producers of Swiss climbing skins.

Prior to joining forces for Salewa, Sandy Brown (of Wasatch Reps) and Pete Swenson (of Dynafit) spent many years building and expanding the brands and businesses of other backcountry-focused companies.  Brown (founder of Wasatch reps, and previously of Mountain Source Rep agency), brings over nineteen years of experience to the team, plus a strong passion for skiing and other outdoor sports.  Pete Swenson (formerly the Brand Activation Manager for Dynafit North America) also brings a depth of retail and sales experience.  Swenson, the Director of the U.S. Ski Mountaineering Association, and two-time U.S. Ski Mountaineering National Champion, will work directly with Brown covering Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah.

In the Southeast, Kurt Smith and Chaz Warren will work together.Smith, a National and World Cup rock climber, with over 500 first ascents and 32 years of following his dreams, now resides in the New River Gorge, WV and is a full-time sales rep.  Warren, also a passionate member of the outdoor community, will focus on opening new retailers and work directly as Smiths associate.

Salewas Upper Midwest territory will be covered by John Horsnell. John brings a deep knowledge of the outdoor industry as well as an extensive history in the Upper Midwest, plus years of experience working in outdoor retail and sales representation.
