Saks Global reversed its decision to close three stores — a Neiman Marcus in White Plains, NY; a Saks in Sarasota, FL; and a Saks in Palm Desert, CA — following negotiations with landlords.

Saks Global previously reported that a total of 20 Saks Fifth Avenue locations and four Neiman Marcus locations would shutter this spring, which included those three locations.

“We are pleased to share that our Saks Fifth Avenue Sarasota, Saks Fifth Avenue Palm Desert and Neiman Marcus Westchester stores will remain open following recent productive conversations with our landlords and further evaluation,” Saks Global said in a statement.

“Our approach to optimizing our store footprint remains centered on ensuring we focus our presence in markets with a high concentration of luxury shoppers where we can operate at an attractive level of profitability. We look forward to continuing to serve customers in these markets,” continued Saks.

Saks Global filed for Chapter 11 on January 13.

With plans not to close the three stores, Saks Global will have 15 Saks stores remaining nationwide, including its flagship store on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. That compares with roughly 33 Saks stores before the company filed for bankruptcy in January. The company will operate 34 Neiman Marcus stores, down from 36 pre-bankruptcy, and two Bergdorf Goodman locations.
