Saks Incorporated, for the four weeks ended February 26, 2005 compared to the four weeks ended February 28, 2004, total sales increased 2.6% and comparable store sales increased 3.5% on a total company basis. By segment, comparable store sales increased 0.9% for SDSG and increased 7.1% for SFAE for the month. Sales below are in millions and represent sales from owned departments only.

Categories with the best sales performances for SFAE in February were women’s contemporary apparel, women’s designer apparel, men’s contemporary sportswear, jewelry, and accessories. Categories with the softest performances for SFAE in February were private brand, women’s bridge apparel, outerwear, and Salon Z
