The Safariland Group announced that Jim Duncan has joined the company as vice president of domestic sales. Most recently, Duncan was the president of Galls, LLC, one of North America’s leading distributors of uniforms and equipment to the public safety market.

As the new vice president of domestic sales, Duncan will lead The Safariland Group’s efforts to drive sales growth and increase their market share in the domestic sales channel.

“We are very pleased that Jim, a seasoned industry veteran, will be on board to help strengthen our presence in the domestic market. His leadership, sales performance and industry knowledge will be instrumental in driving continued domestic sales growth for The Safariland Group,” said Scott O’Brien, President, The Safariland Group.

Duncan brings more than 15 years of professional sales and management experience in the public safety industry to the role. Duncan joined Quartermaster, Inc., one of the nation’s largest distributors of public safety uniforms and equipment in 1999 as a Regional Account Manager and was promoted to the Director of National Sales in 2001. In this role, Duncan increased the revenues of the national sales team to $28M, resulting in his promotion to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In 2008 Duncan became the chief executive officer and member of the board of directors.

“I am very excited to bring my years of experience serving the public safety community to The Safariland Group,” said Jim Duncan. “As a former member of the law enforcement community, the company’s mission of “Together, We Save Lives” has a particularly impactful meaning to me and will certainly drive my efforts to deliver life-saving products to the domestic markets.”

In 2012 Duncan joined Galls, LLC as president.
