November is National Running Safety Month. RunSafe is partnering with the Independent Running Retail Association (IRRA) to promote safety in the running community. Through this collaboration, IRRA retailers are giving the gift of a free lifetime RunSafe account to their customers, normally valued at $50/year.

RunSafe is a premier safety app designed specifically for runners.

The IRRA is pleased to collaborate with RunSafe for National Running Safety Month this November. The RunSafe application is another solution that demonstrates the importance of personal safety while running. The RunSafe team has shown their commitment to safety by offering their premium service free of charge to local running store customers during this month. Their purpose and generosity is aligned with the retailers that make up the Independent Running Retail Association, and we are honored to be affiliated with them during this important month, said Parker Karnan, IRRA Executive Director.

IRRA members are locally owned stores committed to the wellness of their customers and communities. Trey Vernon, owner of Manhattan Running Company, shared why RunSafe makes a difference for him and his clients, The features and alerts provided within the app give not only the runner, but the runner’s family, a sense of relief that they will be safe when out on a run. If you are going to run, why not RunSafe!”

Providing RunSafe as a prevention tool is exactly what National Running Safety Month is about. Far too often safety is overlooked until a tragic event happens. RunSafe developed from a scare I had while out running with my son, said RunSafe Co-Founder, Violet Alexandre. That experience motivated me to build an app that can profoundly improve safety on a personal and community level and Im proud to partner with IRRA to share this tool with my fellow runners.
