Rumpl appointed Phyllis Grove, who has held leadership positions at Keen, Hydro Flask and Mountain Hardwear, to its Board of Directors.
The maker of outdoor blankets said Grove “will support Rumpl as it accelerates brand expansion and deepens its influence in the outdoor market.”
Most recently, Grove served as the senior vice president of marketing for Helen of Troy’s Home & Outdoor division. There, she oversaw the Hydro Flask, Oxo and Osprey brands, and she also brings governance and industry leadership experience as a long-standing board member at the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA).
“Phyllis brings a proven track record of building beloved brands and guiding companies through transformative growth,” said Kim Schmidt, head of Marketing and Ecommerce at Rumpl. “Her expertise in refining consumer profiles and unlocking new distribution opportunities is exactly what Rumpl needs as we continue to define the outdoor blanket category and expand our reach across both core and casual consumer audiences. We’re honored to welcome her to the Board.”
“I’ve admired Rumpl since its early days on Kickstarter and have long respected how the team pioneered a completely new category in the outdoor space,” said Grove. “Rumpl is at a unique inflection point as both a category creator and a fast-scaling brand with broad relevance. I’m excited to work with Kim, Wylie and the Board of Directors to help guide the next phase of growth.”
