Ross Stores, Inc. is opening 17 new stores, including 13 Ross Dress for Less and four dd’s Discounts locations across 11 states. The openings began in February and will continue through March.
The new store openings mark the first for the company’s fiscal 2026 expansion plan, which aims to add approximately 110 stores, roughly 85 Ross and 25 dd’s Discounts, for a total unit growth of 5 percent in 2026.
Richard Lietz, executive vice president, property development for Ross Stores, stated, “Following strong new store performance in 2025, these openings build on that momentum. We expanded Ross Dress for Less in the Mountain, Midwest and Northeast regions while also strengthening our presence in key Sunbelt states. For dd’s, we added new stores in our core markets of California and Texas, as well as our inaugural location in Utah.”
“Looking forward, we remain confident in our long-term growth potential and see a clear path to 2,900 Ross locations and 700 dd’s Discount stores across the country,” said Leitz.
Ross Stores has 1,917 locations in 44 states.
