Rocky Brands, Inc. reported net sales for the third quarter of $72.5 million, down 11.9% from net sales of $82.3 million for the same period a year ago. The company reported net income more than doubled to $2.4 million, or 43 cents per diluted share, from $1.1 million, or 21 cents per diluted share, for the year ago period.


Retail sales, which the company said were negatively impacted by manufacturing company’s decisions to close plants, reduce headcount and defer safety purchases, were $15.2 million, down 16.5% from $18.2 million last year.
