California based juniors footwear brand Rocket Dog announced that Maria Boschetti joined the company as public relations and product placement manager, a new position where she will join the marketing department and work out of the Los Angeles, CA showroom, effective Sept. 27.

Boschetti comes to this position with over 10 years of experience in public relations. She most recently did public relations for Vans in Cypress, CA. Prior to Vans she worked at Globe International Ltd, and Podium Distribution in similar PR capacities.

“Rocket Dog recognizes the importance of public relations and product placement and has created a position to further strengthen and evolve this key element to increase our brand presence through strategic press activation initiatives, editorial, product placement and organic product seeding to relevant outlets,” said Rocket Dog's Chief Executive Officer Cathy Taylor.

“I am very excited to welcome Maria to the team,” said Kim Dresser, Rocket Dogʼs vice president of marketing. “With Maria's experience and contacts, she will help drive this initiative as Rocket Dog continues to expand its brand offerings by introducing new brands and categories, and will be a great asset to the company.”

In her role, Boschetti will be responsible for actively managing and executing PR campaigns and executing product placement and entertainment marketing to strategically position the company in all aspects of media including print, television, film and internet, as well as seeding relevant celebrities, musicians, stylists and tastemakers.

The PR and Product Placement Manager will also manage brand identity and awareness within the media as well as promoting and supporting brand initiatives, categories and launches.
