Ride Snowboards said Chris Barnes of Bethel, ME, will now be managing sales in the New England area.

No stranger to the world of winter sports, Barnes brings over 10 years of rep experience from Stone Face Sales in the Northeast, working with brands such as K2 Snowboards and Skis, Level Gloves, Ogio, Sessions Outerwear and Hot Chillys.

“Chris has built a number of great relationships with key retailers in his region, and has a diverse knowledge and immense passion for the snowboarding industry,” said Ride Sales Manager Shawn Penrod. “He is above and beyond the best candidate I can think of for this job.”

Barnes will officially take his leave from Stone Face Sales and assume his new position with Ride Aug. 15, replacing the former rep and his good friend, Rob McLennand, who is now with Timberland.

Founded in Redmond, WA in late 1992, Ride hit the market with a vision – to create a snowboard company on the basis of uncompromised fun. Today, based in Seattle, Ride continues to stay true to its original goals. Offering a full range of quality boards, boots, bindings & apparel, Ride has worked tirelessly to maintain its distinct brand identity, push the limits of product innovation, and has firmly established itself as a leader in the snowboard industry.
