Filson has laid off dozens of factory workers in facilities in Seattle and Kent in recent weeks but rejected speculation in the marketplace that it planned to end production in Washington in the summer of 2022, according to The Seattle Times.

Paolo Corinaldesi, Filson CEO, said in an e-mailed statement Monday to the paper, “While Filson made the difficult decision to reduce positions in our Seattle and Kent manufacturing facilities in recent weeks, Filson remains committed to manufacturing our core heritage styles in our Washington facilities just as we have for decades.”

No reason was given for the job reductions. The layoffs, according to the report, also included employees in customer service, repairs and returns.
