Ski and bike shop Evo is considering moving into Denver’s Sports Castle, the historic Art Deco building at 1000 Broadway, according to a report from the Business Den.

“Anyone who knows Colorado, Denver, you just know the castle,” Evo founder and CEO Bryce Phillips told the outlet.

Evo operates two blocks away in several buildings at Ninth Avenue and Broadway, including a retail store at 860 Broadway.

“We love our spot. We’ve been there almost a decade now, [but] you can imagine the potential energy that would be felt from a customer experience perspective in a building, in an icon like that,” Phillips added.

Plans for the project were submitted to the City of Denver this week by Kemberlin Architecture, detailing renovation plans for the 100-year-old building, including a rooftop addition and space for a bar and a “grab and go” food/beverage service.

Founded in Seattle, WA, Evo operates stores in Seattle and Snoqualmie Pass, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; Portland, OR; Tahoe City, CA; and various locations in Whistler, B.C., Canada.
