Andrew Luck, former Stanford University star and expected No. 1 NFL
draft pick, is close to signing a multi-year endorsement contract with
Nike, according to the SportsBusiness Journal.
An agreement in principle was reached in late February, a source told
the newspaper, with a final contract expected to be signed shortly.
Heisman trophy winner Robert Griffin III, the likely number two pick recently signed with Adidas.
The move comes as Nike assumes NFL on-field apparel rights April 1 for the next five years, taking over from Reebok.
