REI plans to close its Settlers Ridge store in Pittsburgh, PA permanently after 11 years.
The location will officially close its doors on January 14 at 8 p.m., according to an update on REI’s website, The message thanked customers for their support and encouraged them to shop at the nearby REI location at 412 S. 27th Street in Pittsburgh.

REI’s full statement is below:

Thank you for 11 Great Years

We are sorry to let you know the REI Co-op store in Settlers Ridge, PA will close permanently on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 8 pm.

The last day you may place a Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store or Curbside Pickup order will be Thursday, December 24, 2020.
The last day you may drop off your bikes to be serviced will be Friday, January 1, 2021. If you have a recent order or equipment in our shop awaiting pickup, the Settlers Ridge location will be open through Thursday, January 14, 2021, for you to pick up your order via Curbside Pickup. Even though this location is closing, we still have plenty of ways to help you get outside. We hope you’ll continue to find the outdoor gear you need at our nearby Pittsburgh store or online at REI.com.
