Reef appointed PJ Connell, currently Reef men's senior strategic marketing manager, as director of marketing for Reef globally. In his new role, PJ will be responsible for Reef's overall brand strategy including global marketing alignment, new product category growth, implementing a marketing segmentation strategy and management of the Reef marketing team.
Connell joined Reef in 2006 as the sports marketing manager, and gradually transitioned into new roles in the areas of Events, Tradeshows, and In-store Marketing. Connell has played an integral role in men's marketing including key product launches such as the Reef Supreme Collection and Coastal Cruisers Collection, establishing Reef's shop-in-shop program, and the launch and execution of the Reef Hawaiian Pro, now in its 4th year of sponsorship.

Prior to Reef, Connell acted as the corporate communications & events Manager at Rip Curl where he contributed to media outreach and execution of many high level WQS and WCT events. PJ holds a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Marketing & Communications from San Diego State University.
PJ will transition into his new role effective immediately.
