Reebok International has reached a multi-year agreement to serve as the official footwear and apparel sponsor of the world’s largest 10K, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.

“We are thrilled to be sponsoring Peachtree, a race internationally renowned for both its elite competition and loyal mass of runners,” said Todd Klein Reebok’s Director of Global Athletics. “Reebok is excited to have the opportunity to partner with one of the most prestigious events in our sport.”

Another first for the event, this year’s Peachtree will serve as the USA Men’s 10km Championships.

“Reebok’s support of several of this country’s best running events and their sponsorship of such top American male runners like Jorge Torres creates an exciting partnership as we host America’s fastest male runners this Fourth of July,” said Race Director, Tracey Russell. “Plus, with 55,000 participants and over 150,000 spectators, Peachtree provides excellent brand exposure for Reebok through what has become an Independence Day tradition here in Atlanta.”

Registration for the 38th running of Peachtree begins on Sunday, March 18th. Total prize purse for the elite field is $111,300 with the first male and female finishers each receiving $15,000 and an additional $30,000 in prize money for the USA Men’s 10km Championships. The 2007 Peachtree has also been selected as the PRRO Championship, the culminating event of the PRRO (Professional Road Running Organization) road race circuit.
