Reebok announced a partnership with MMA fighter Johny Hendricks, currently the #1 ranked contender in the welterweight division.

The endorsement demonstrates Reebok’s ongoing commitment to work with some of the fittest athletes in the world.  The brand has teamed up with Hendricks to prepare him to be in the best shape possible for his highly-anticipated bout with Georges St-Pierre. The landmark battle takes place at UFC 167 on Nov. 16.

“We’re thrilled to have Johny join the Reebok team,” said John Lynch, VP of Global Fitness Marketing, Reebok.

“MMA fighters are some of the fittest athletes in the world. When it comes to training and preparation, Johny’s knowledge and commitment is just unbelievable. As a leading fitness brand, he’s the perfect athlete to partner with. He embodies everything we believe about training.”

“I’m truly excited to be a part of the Reebok family,” said Hendricks. “What really comes through when working with Reebok team is that they live and breathe fitness. They have an incredible heritage in training and know exactly what it takes to help athletes be as fit as they can be.”

As an athlete who runs 4-5 times a week and uses a diverse mix of training and yoga as part of his daily fitness, Hendricks is the perfect fit for the Reebok brand. Hendricks wears Reebok’s ATV 19 during his training, keeping him ready for anything.

His regime is tough, varied and aggressive, so he needs footwear that can stand up to it. Designed to be unstoppable and let you tackle any terrain head on, Reebok’s ATV 19 acts as a true All- Terrain Vehicle for your feet.  The bold design brings an irregular lug pattern, cushioned outriggers, and a banked feel that combine to provide earth shaking traction and high-speed stability.
