About 2,900 boot bindings from Rome Snowboards are being recalled  due to a fall hazard. The base plate on the bindings can break at cold temperatures, creating a
risk to the snowboarder, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.

The recall involves Rome Snowboards Co. 2010 United snowboard bindings.
They come in red and black in sizes small, medium and large. “Rome” is
printed on the back of the bindings.

The items were sold at sports retail outlets from September 2009 through December 2009 for about $160 each.
