Rebel Sport Limited’s group sales revenue for the twelve months ended July 2, 2005 increased by 3.8% to A$316.9 million when compared to the twelve months ended July 3, 2004, including sales revenue from the Glue lifestyle stores.

The twelve months ended 2 July 2005 includes 52 weeks. The twelve months ended 3 July 2004 includes 53 weeks. Total group sales revenue on a same number of days basis increased by 5.7%.

Sales on a same number of days, same store basis, increased by 0.8%.

Total group sales for the June 2005 quarter, on a same number of days basis increased by 7.8%. June 2005 quarter sales on a same number of days, same store basis, increased by 2.5%.

Although sales growth has been challenging, the June 2005 quarter was the second best sales growth quarter for the year on a same number of days basis, according to managing director Stephen Heath in a letter to the ASX. “The athletic footwear industry continues to struggle and has been one of the major contributors to reduced sales growth when compared to last year,” he wrote in the letter. “Additionally, comparisons against unprecedented Rugby World Cup supporter wear sales in FY2004 also affected our sales growth result.

Despite limited sales growth we have managed our inventory well. On a total and like store basis, our inventory has reduced. This will decrease the need for future markdown activity.”

Rebel Sport Limited currently has 56 Rebel Sport stores and 8 Glue stores. In the six months to December 2005, Rebel Sport will open six further stores in Midland Gate
and Rockingham (Western Australia), Mt. Druitt (New South Wales), Fountaingate and Shepparton (Victoria) and Carindale (Queensland). A further Glue store will also
open in Tuggerah (New South Wales).
