Rapala VMC USA has promoted Charlie Davis to VP of product development, Sam McSharry to senior sales manager, national accounts and Mike Baumgartner to director of sales. Mike Anselmo joined the maker of fishing tackle as senior product manager.
The move comes as Rapala USA reported that Travis Tuma, VP of sales and president of Rapala USA, succeeded Marcus Twidale as president. After four years of leadership in the U.S., Twidale returned to Europe in his new role as VP of the Rapala brand and group strategic brand management.
Davis will lead the company’s U.S. innovation efforts, overseeing the development and evolution of Rapala VMC’s iportfolio. Davis has been with the company for three years and was previously director of Product Development.
McSharry is expected to continue to strengthen relationships with key national partners while driving strategic growth initiatives across major retail and distribution partners. He has been with Rapala for nearly five years and was previously the regional sales manager.
Baumgartner will drive sales forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking across all channels. He will oversee regional and national sales teams to achieve revenue and distribution goals. He was the Western Regional sales manager.

Anselmo joined Rapala USA after previous experience at Untamed Tackle, Northland Fishing Tackle and Striker Brands.
