RailRiders Adventure Clothing and Team One Newport are making headway with a newly developed partnership. The companies will join forces using their combined expertise to develop a new collection of sun protective apparel specifically designed for the sailing community. Team One Newport has sold RailRiders clothing at its retail store in Newport, RI and through its online and print catalog. Now, both companies plan to expand this relationship.

“Gear is our business, but sailing is our passion,” explains Martha Parker, who is owner of Team One Newport. “We thrive on the outdoors and need to offer the right products for our customers. They trust us to protect them from the sea's harshest elements and sometimes that's the sun.”

“I am thrilled to be returning to my sailing roots,” says RailRiders president and founder John d’Arbeloff, who was “railmeat” during that Edgartown race. “In the past 15 years, RailRiders has grown in size to produce a wide assortment of technical apparel for sailors, kayakers, hikers, backpackers, travelers, and adventure racers. We’ve had such great success with sun-protection products like the Eco-Mesh shirt and Adventure Top that it seemed like a natural fit to develop a new collection with Team One.”

The RailRiders and Team One Newport sun-protection collection will debut in spring 2008.
