This fall, Rack Room Shoes donated more than $555,000 to the national non-profit organization, Shoes That Fit. The family footwear retailer raised the funds through its annual Shoes That Fit campaign that provides children in need with new shoes for the school year.

Throughout the Back to School season, Rack Room Shoes invited customers to make a donation of $5 or more in exchange for a Shoes That Fit lunch box.

Rack Room Shoes then donated 100 percent of the proceeds to local Shoes That Fit programs. The funds raised will stay in the communities that the stores serve and will be distributed to school liaisons that identify children who need new footwear.

The top five markets that raised the most money are:

  • Orlando, FL
  • Concord, NC
  • Arden, NC
  • Granbury, TX
  • El Paso, TX

“Our annual Shoes That Fit campaign is one that all of our employees look forward to year after year,” said Jan Mauldin, director of marketing for Rack Room Shoes. “Something as simple as a new pair of shoes can make a world of difference in a child’s life. We are thankful for our multi-year partnership with an organization empowering children to learn and play in comfort.”

Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Rack Room Shoes is the family footwear retailer.
