Rabbit, which produces running apparel for men and women, signed distance runner Natasha LaBeaud Anzures to its RadRabbitPro team.

LaBeaud Anzures has competed in the NCAA Championships, the Pan American Games and the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. The runner has now set her sights on another goal: the World Championship qualifying standard for 10,000 meters, 32:15.

“I was instantly attracted to the passion that I felt from the team about the sport and supporting the community,” said LaBeaud Anzures. “Running is my outlet and is so ingrained in me … it moves me forward in all aspects of my life.”

Having earned her BA and Masters at Georgetown, she is currently nearing completion of her PhD in Public Health, with an emphasis on childhood obesity. That topic, which is a passion of hers, is also the focus of the non-profit that she co-founded with her husband, 2nd Recess. The program uses running to teach healthy habits and has reached thousands of kids in the San Diego area.

Rabbit Co-founder Jill Deering commented, “Natasha’s passion and love for the sport of running is infectious. Not only is she a beyond stellar athlete, but she is a true ambassador of the sport. We are so unbelievably excited and proud to have Natasha join our rabbit family. We know she is going to accomplish some amazing things and we are honored to support her on that journey.”
