Following on the heels of hiring sales forces in several other key territories in recent months, Rab, manufacturer of premium outdoor apparel, this week hired Ferrand Associates to represent the brand in the mid-Atlantic territory.


Industry veterans Ray Ferrand and Bill Lockwood each bring several decades of sales, retail and in-house outdoor industry experience to the role. They will represent Rab in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C.


Founded in 1986, Ferrand Associates was honored with the Outdoor Industry Association Leadership Award in 2001. Ray started his outdoor industry career at the well-known New York City outdoor shop Paragon, while Bill, who has climbed all over the world, has seen the industry from all perspectives, including working on the sales floor and acting as a shop manager.


As we continue to grow awareness in core markets about who Rab is and our focus on high-end apparel with unique materials stories, experienced teams like Ferrand Associates help us make sure our stories reach the right ears, said Matt Gowar, CEO of Rab. Were excited to build on the opening of our North American office and warehouse in 2009 with another focused team like Ray and Bill.


Rab has hired sales teams in the Rockies and the Southeastern U.S. in recent months.
