Pure Hockey has acquired Bar Down Hockey Shop, located in Overland Park, KS. This acquisition is said to mark Pure Hockey’s first entry into the Kansas market.
Pure Hockey stated that the acquisition of Bar Down Hockey Shop “marks another significant milestone in the company’s ongoing growth.” With this addition, Pure Hockey operates 86 retail doors across 32 states.

Bar Down Hockey Shop reportedly boasts a dedicated customer base and hockey training programs. Its integration into Pure Hockey’s retail network is expected to provide customers with a broader selection of hockey equipment, training tools, apparel, and accessories, backed by Pure Hockey’s expertise in the sport.
By establishing a presence in Kansas and with plans to relocate the Bar Down Hockey Shop store in 2026, Pure Hockey said it “aims to enhance community engagement, deliver an elevated shopping experience, and contribute to the growth of hockey in the Midwest.”
