Purdy Associates, Northwest representatives for Arc’Teryx Equipment, Keen Footwear, Vasque and Dahlgren Socks, welcomes two new members to it team – John Coke and Marshall Balick. The addition of Coke and Balick completes a geographically based team with the goal of providing enhanced services and focus to retailers in the region.

Coke comes to Purdy Associates from Metolius, where he was the Sales Manager for nearly 15 years. Based in Bend, Oregon, Coke will assume account management responsibilities for the state of Oregon.

“I’m excited to complete one of our longstanding goals, which is to have sales reps based in Oregon, Washington, and Montana providing faster and easier access to the dealers and their needs” said Purdy.

Marshall Balick fulfills a newly created position and is in charge of education and events for the agency. Marshall has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Washington and several years experience in the outdoor industry.

“Marshall fills a position that I have always been very passionate about: educating the staff on the floor,” said Purdy. “We feel extremely fortunate not only to have a dedicated resource for this effort, but to have someone as qualified as Marshall. He’s got all of the ingredients to take this position to the next level,” said Purdy.

Coke and Balick join the Seattle-based agency that includes Michael Stevens, Jenna Wellman, Rick Alexander and Jim Purdy. Stevens, who has worked footwear accounts in Washington and Oregon for Purdy Associates for the past nine months will assume all brand responsibilities in Washington effective January 1st. Wellman operates as office manager and Alexander handles sales for Montana, Alaska and North Idaho. Purdy’s primary focus will continue to be on key accounts and overall territory management.

“The reorganization of the agency will allow us to manage our growing business while continuing to provide great service for our customers and the companies we represent,” concluded Purdy.
