PrimaLoft Inc. announced its Vice President of Operations Joe Rumiesz will retire March 2 after a 16-year career with the company.

“Joe has been the driving force behind PrimaLoft’s success,” said Mike Joyce, PrimaLoft CEO.” His business and technological expertise, along with the great team he assembled, established PrimaLoft as a leader in the outdoor community. There is no question PrimaLoft would not be the strong, growing independent company it is today without his love for the brand and his wise guidance. We will miss his insights, his collaboration and his partnership, and we wish him and his wife Mary well.”

Since he joined PrimaLoft, Rumiesz has been involved with every facet of the business, including product development, brand partnerships, marketing and sales. He will be transitioning his projects and duties to other team members over the next several weeks.

“We can’t say enough about Joe,” said Greg Thomsen, managing director of adidas Outdoor U.S., PrimaLoft brand partner. “Joe is the epitome of a brand ambassador and partner. Whenever we’ve needed PrimaLoft’s support, he has always been there for us. We wish him the best of luck.”

Primaloft, which originally developed its insulation for the U.S. army as a water-resistant, synthetic alternative to down, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The company’s products are used in leading outdoor and fashion brands, home furnishings, work wear, hunting and military applications and are warmer, drier, and softer than any other synthetic insulation.
