Primaloft Promotes Newey to Director of Global Marketing

 

Newey has progressed from partnership marketing manager, to global marketing manager, to now director of global marketing. With nearly 20 years of marketing and sales experience, Newey is responsible for the development and implementation of PrimaLoft’s global marketing strategy and local execution to establish and reinforce the company’s relationship with brands, retailers and consumers.

 

“Within his short time at PrimaLoft, Dave successfully spearheaded the brand’s entire relaunch, including the debut of our proprietary PrimaLoft Performance Down Blends, a complete rebranding and the development of a comprehensive retail strategy,” said Mike Joyce, president and chief executive officer of PrimaLoft. “In addition, he is playing a key role in nurturing relationships with our brand partners, which is critical to our evolution as a provider of comfort solutions to the outdoor, fashion, tactical and the home market categories. As director of global marketing, Newey will design a new marketing infrastructure focused on brand partners, retailers and consumers worldwide and continue to lead PrimaLoft’s rebranding effort, an important part of the company’s leadership in the industry. He will guide the product marketing and innovation pipeline process and lead partnership marketing initiatives with PrimaLoft’s valued brand partners. In addition, Newey will advance the brand’s global communication, through tactics within the advertising, public relations, social media, digital web and event categories.

 

Newey joined the PrimaLoft team with a proven track record in sales and brand marketing. Most recently, Newey served as senior marketing manager for the Valspar Corporation, where he developed distribution initiatives and its overall marketing and business strategies. Newey previously founded and directed a full-service marketing, design and video production agency, working with brands including Polarmax.

 

Based in Latham, NY with offices in Germany and Italy, PrimaLoft develops and markets comfort solutions and high-performance insulations and fabrics for use in home furnishings, work wear, hunting and military applications.
