Primal will be a titanium level sponsor of the National Bike Summit set to take place March 4-7, 2013. The sponsorship places the Colorado cycling apparel company at the center of the country’s largest lobbying summit and supports the effort with financial support and jerseys totaling $50,000.

The 2013 Summit takes place March 4-7 in the nation’s capital; last year’s summit drew more than 800 people to Washington for a full slate of seminars, meeting with legislators and cementing cycling in the minds of politicians.

“The National Bike Summit is the single most important thing we do at the federal level and we wanted to do more than be there, we wanted to really support it in a meaningful way,” said Primal Founder Dave Edwards. “Everyone who loves cycling should take a hard look at making it to the summit and supporting the League of American Bicyclists.”

The theme for the 2013 Summit is “Bicycling Means Business” and as part of Primal’s titanium sponsorship the apparel maker is the exclusive sponsor of the keynote speech at the event. The League of American Bicyclists recently announced that Yolanda Cade, national public relations and strategic communications director for the American Automobile Association (AAA) will deliver the 2013 keynote address.

“We are so delighted to welcome Primal as a major sponsor of the National Bike Summit in 2013; their commitment to building the bicycling movement – and making sure we look good while were doing it – is impressive,” said Andy Clarke, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists. “And with their help we can more effectively make the case to our elected representatives that Bicycling Means Business.”

Primal has stepped up for high level sponsorship of some of the bike industry’s most important gatherings, including the Alliance for Biking & Walking’s Leadership Retreat, Bicycle Leadership Conference and IMBA World Summit. The company also supports Bikes Belong, League of American Bicyclists and Adventure Cycling Association.

Primal, founded in 1992, has emerged as the leading designer and manufacturer of premier cycling apparel for teams, clubs and events around the world. Primal is committed to the progression of cycling for all abilities and is dedicated to promoting and sponsoring events that benefit people’s lives.

The League of American Bicyclists promotes bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation, and works through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America. The League represents the interests of America’s 57 million bicyclists, including its 300,000 members and affiliates.
