Pret Inc., a manufacturer of winter sports helmets founded in 2010 in Park City, UT, named Steve Bellefeuille as its new president and CEO.

Bellefeuille’s hiring marks a new phase for Pret. Bellefeuille was hired to replace founding President and CEO Darryl English. English remains an owner and member of the Pret Board of Directors.

“Pret has achieved very strong momentum in the competitive helmet category in winter sports and we’re committed to taking the next leap in becoming a leading global brand under Steve’s lead,” said English. “Our strategy for the future creates the perfect time for me to entrust the next chapter of the company to Steve. I’m extremely confident Pret will achieve our global growth goals while continuing to bring superior and innovative product to market.”

Bellefeuille joins the company with skills across sales and operations. His past leadership experience includes planning, sales, supply chain and product development for companies including K2 Sports, World Wide Cycle Supply and most recently Accell North America (ANA), parent company of Raleigh and Diamondback bicycles. At ANA he served as VP of purchasing.

“I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Steve for more than 10 years and at two different organizations,” said Chris Speyer, managing director of Accell North America Inc. “Most recently Steve has served as our VP of Purchasing and has been an incredibly valuable member of the management team here at ANA. While I’ll miss working day-to-day with Steve, I’m very excited for him as he takes another big step forward in his career. Pret is fortunate to have Steve on their team.”

Bellefeuille will be relocating to Park City to lead the Pret team in his new role. He starts July 1.

“As an avid skier, I’ve been a fan of the Pret brand since its inception,” said Bellefeuille. “Pret’s team is passionate and dedicated to producing the highest performing helmets for the athlete and enthusiast.”
