Prestacycle, the bike tools and components brand, opened a new European HQ and distribution center in Briançon, France.
The fully operational distribution center is expected to “significantly improve delivery times, reduce shipping costs and streamline logistics for dealers, distributors and consumers,” said the company in a media release. The opening was also noted as the launch of a redesigned website at Prestacycle.eu and Prestacycle.co.uk.
Prestacycle’s European headquarters is managed on-site by Richard Eakins, who formerly ran the company’s U.K. market. Eakins said, “Our success in the U.K. naturally drove demand throughout Europe. This launch is more than a desire to expand. It’s a response to direct demand received throughout Europe.”
“This expansion marks an important milestone for Prestacycle,” said company President David Finlayson. “By establishing a dedicated EU warehouse, we’re able to better support our European partners and customers with faster, more efficient access to our full range of products. Additionally, it creates an ability to expand global distribution with complete stability.”
The new facility will service all EU countries, except the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), where Prestacycle continues to work with its distribution partner.
