Known globally for its advanced sailcloth and X-Pac brand of high-performance, weatherproof fabrics for packs and bags, Dimension-Polyant will introduce its latest sustainable textile innovations at Performance Days Munich, this October 29–30, booth J20. These new developments highlight Dimension-Polyant’s mission to deliver durable materials engineered for a more responsible future without sacrificing performance.

At the forefront will be X-Pac VX21 OE, the sustainable evolution of Dimension-Polyant’s most popular X-Pac VX21 fabric that’s trusted by many of the world’s leading pack and bag brands.

The face fabric of X-Pac VX21 OE, a four-layer laminate, is made from GRS-certified, 100 percent recycled regen Ocean Nylon sourced from discarded fishing nets. Offering the same strength and durability as conventional nylon, the material achieves a 73 percent reduction in CO₂ emissions and a 76 percent decrease in fossil resource use compared to virgin alternatives.*

Reinforced with Dimension-Polyant’s proprietary X-Ply fiber reinforcement technology made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET, and backed by a lightweight, recycled taffeta for enhanced stitch-holding, X-PAC VX21 OE delivers long-lasting, waterproof performance. The laminate is finished with the highest-performing non-fluorinated DWR for reliable protection in all conditions. Fabric colors include black, white, arctic grey, and sea green.

“Brands are excited about X-Pac VX21 OE because it’s waterproof, incredibly durable, and engineered with a purpose – to protect our oceans and planet,” said Taylor North, Dimension-Polyant Global Head of Technical Fabrics. “We’re proud to see early adopters like Peak Design, whose award-winning Everyday Backpack made with the fabric, have received great feedback from consumers and industry alike.”

Also at Performance Days, Dimension-Polyant will highlight its X-Pac RX30, a next-generation three-layer laminate designed for balanced performance in both outdoor and urban environments.

Constructed entirely from 100 percent recycled materials, X-Pac RX30 combines a post-consumer polyester face fabric made from recycled PET bottles with Dimension-Polyant’s distinctive recycled X-Ply fiber reinforcement for added strength, flexibility, and waterproof performance. A lightweight recycled polyester film backing gives the fabric a sleek, technical aesthetic suited to both the trail and the city. Like all new X-Pac materials, it’s finished with a high-performing, non-fluorinated DWR coating.

X-Pac RX30 is available in 12 colorways including black, white, slate, cayenne, coyote brown, evergreen, ocean blue, alpenglow, bluebell, goldenrod, plum, and sea foam, and its newest color, moss.

“With X-Pac RX30, we set out to design a fabric that captures the spirit of modern adventure that’s technical, timeless, and responsibly made,” said North. “Leading brands like Tom Bhin, Alpaka, and Arkel are drawn to its clean aesthetic, multiple colorways, and fully recycled construction.”

Both X-Pac VX21 OE and X-Pac RX30 laminates are produced in Dimension-Polyant’s in-house U.S. facility, ensuring full quality control from concept to finished fabric.

As performance materials evolve, Dimension-Polyant continues to redefine what durability means—proving that sustainability is not a compromise, but a powerful advancement in textile innovation.
