Gloucester, England – May 11, 2025 – Ruroc, the global leader in motorsports protection, today unveils the EOX 2.0 Pulse Gold. This release blends premium safety with an artisanal exploration of texture and tone, using meticulous, hand-applied finishing, reinforcing Ruroc’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of helmet designs.
The development of the EOX 2.0 Pulse Gold is one of Ruroc’s most technically demanding colorway projects to date, centered on the challenge of hand-applied gold foil leafing. Laying genuine metallic foil across the complex, multi-dimensional curves of the EOX 2.0 shell is an extremely difficult feat; unlike flat surfaces, the helmet’s aerodynamic geometry requires a meticulous, manual process to ensure the gold follows the contours of the shell without tearing or wrinkling.
The design’s complexity is further heightened by the inclusion of raw carbon windows. Because large sections of the underlying shell remain visible, Ruroc’s designers must ensure the Quad-Matrix carbon weave is of the highest aesthetic quality, with zero room for structural or visual imperfections. Because each is finished by hand, every helmet carries its own unique character and a deep, liquid-metal brilliance that leaves traditional paint in the rearview.
“Influenced by the increasing popularity of bespoke jewellery and a love for artisanal items, we wanted to push the concept of a ‘production’ helmet into a world of handcraft” said Laurence Jones, Head of Marketing at Ruroc.
Engineered for total stability and long-range comfort, the EOX 2.0 Pulse Gold features elite safety via Rheon impact protection and integrated Twiceme Smart Medical ID, paired with a premium, climate-regulating Merino wool liner and optimized internal architecture for refined acoustics. Connectivity is seamless with compatibility for both Shockwave Bluetooth for calls and music, or Shockwave powered by Cardo for full app integration and advanced group communications.
