Alpine Meadows, Calif. – July 23, 2026 – Nocs Provisions, the outdoor optics brand on a mission to bring people closer to nature, today announces Shared Ground, its new collection of durable outdoor optics developed in partnership with the National Audubon Society. The collection marks the second release in the ongoing Nocs x Audubon collaboration and features five optics bundles inspired by threatened and regionally significant bird species across North America.
The collection includes the Field Issue and Pro Issue binoculars and the Lite View spotting scope. Each bundle pairs a specialized optic with a matching woven tapestry strap inspired by the featured bird’s native habitat, connecting users to the landscapes these species call home. All pieces in the collection feature Nocs’ signature impact-absorbing ribbed grip casing, premium multi-coated glass, and fogproof construction. This collaboration is rooted in a shared commitment to conservation and protecting the places that make birding and exploration possible.
The collection is called Shared Ground to reflect the overlap between summer foot traffic and the wildlife in our own backyards, beaches, and local trails. The increase in outdoor recreation that takes place during mid-summer directly impacts the most fragile window of the bird nesting calendar. Everyday activities like walking dogs, mowing lawns, or traveling through sensitive habitats take place on the same ground these birds depend on. Nocs and Audubon designed this collection to encourage explorers to notice and protect their immediate surroundings.
“We wanted this collection to highlight our shared summer environments,” said Chris McKleroy, Founder of Nocs Provisions. “Summer is a demanding time for bird populations. By drawing attention to these specific nesting grounds, we hope to build a hands-on awareness among a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts, ensuring these spaces remain safe for seasons to come.”
The limited-edition Shared Ground collection includes:
- Field Issue 8×32 Bundle – Audubon Ruddy Duck: Styled after the male’s summer plumage and blue bill, nodding to the wetlands of the Dakota prairie potholes.
- Field Issue 8×42 Bundle – Audubon Crested Caracara: Designed with earthy tones reflecting the open country of South Florida, South Texas, and Southern Arizona.
- Field Issue 10×42 Bundle – Audubon Great Cormorant: Wrapped in deep sea tones inspired by North Atlantic cliffs, active fishing piers, and harbors from Maine into the Maritimes.
- Pro Issue 8×42 Bundle – Audubon Summer Tanager: A vibrant standout celebrating the canopy-dwelling songbird nesting across riparian southern U.S. woodlands.
- Lite View 56mm Bundle – Audubon California Scrub-Jay: Spotlights a federally threatened species tied year-round to disappearing patches of scrub.
