Gordini, a Vermont-based leader in outdoor gear since 1956, announces the launch of its Fall 2026 WaxHide Leather Glove and Mitten collection. Unlike traditional leather products that need to be regularly treated or conditioned, Gordini’s WaxHide Leather is engineered for weather resistance and no-maintenance in any wet and stormy conditions, season after season.
Gordini is currently the only brand in North America offering this proprietary, waxed leather formulation that combines the soft, enduring feel of real leather with exceptional, built-in weather protection. Each fiber of Gordini’s WaxHide Leather is saturated with a waterproof, wax-like coating that not only creates an invisible barrier against the elements but also enhances the leather’s natural resilience. The result is a material that resists cracking, peeling, and premature wear and looks better with age, developing character while maintaining its performance integrity.
For Fall 2026, Gordini will offer a total of 10 WaxHide Leather styles, spanning multiple silhouettes, insulation packages, and price points to support a broad range of retail assortments and consumer needs. The Alp Pro Mitt, Polar Glove, and Polar Mitt feature waterproof, windproof 600-fill-power down insulation, while the Col Glove and Col Mitt utilize Megaloft® insulation for lightweight, moisture-wicking warmth.
“WaxHide Leather allows us to solve a long-standing challenge in leather handwear – delivering true weather protection without sacrificing feel, durability, or ease of care,” said Brett Wagenheim, marketing director at Gordini. “As we celebrate our 70th year, this collection reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and to building products that retailers and consumers can rely on year after year.”
The Fall 2026 launch builds on Gordini’s continued evolution into a four-season outdoor gear brand. Following the introduction of its spring/summer sock collection, Gordini now offers more than 20 sock styles engineered for skiing, hiking, running, and everyday wear.
Gordini’s socks are constructed with Merino wool and Coolmax EcoMade fibers for moisture management and temperature regulation, and feature the brand’s OrbitFit technology, leveraging these performance fibers in anatomically mapped 3D zones for a lighter, drier, more comfortable fit.
Independently owned and family run, Gordini remains rooted in Vermont and committed to designing equipment—gloves, socks, and goggles—that helps people stay outside longer, regardless of conditions.
