Santa Barbara, CABlumaka, the leader in converting recycled foam into world class footwear midsole and insoles, today announced its collaboration with SUBTXT, a new lifestyle, skate shoe and golf footwear brand founded by entrepreneur Jake Hexberg. The partnership introduces a groundbreaking golf and skate shoe line that combines premium craftsmanship, eco-friendly materials, and modern performance technology.

The new collection showcases the first-ever Blumaka cupsole, made for increased stability and comfort whether you’re on the golf course, skate park or simply out enjoying a leisurely stroll. Constructed from 85 percent recycled foam, the cupsole includes Blumaka’s insoles crafted from 92 percent recycled ETPU foam which is recovered from high-performance footwear manufacturing waste, offering  footwear that is breathable, antibacterial, moisture-wicking, and designed to minimize impact while maximizing support and stability. Wrapped in an aesthetically vibrant and innovative design, the shoe is light, flexible, and cushiony feel that is supported by a FortiFlex construction.

“Our partnership with SUBTXT demonstrates that timeless silhouettes don’t have to be boring,” said Stuart Jenkins, founder of Blumaka. “This collaboration proves that with vision, guts, and a passion for performance and sustainability, new and meaningful ideas can come to life.”

The SUBTXT collection reflects Hexberg’s commitment to quality and sustainability, utilizing locally sourced, durable materials and partnering with passionate artisans in the Dominican Republic. The shoes embody the brand’s mission and stand out from others in the market by integrating innovative recycled foam technology without compromising style or performance.

They are designed for individuals who care about craftsmanship, the environment, and their lifestyle—whether on the golf course, skatepark, or city streets.

“When Stuart challenged me to turn my MBA capstone into a real business, I didn’t realize it would lead to something as innovative as this,” said Jake Hexberg, founder of SUBTXT. “SUBTXT stands for performance, sustainability, and purpose. Every pair is built to last, made responsibly, and designed to prove that cleaner, better footwear doesn’t have to compromise on style or comfort.”

Hexberg noted SUBTXT’s shoes are built for versatility and durability, merging performance and style while utilizing sustainable, locally sourced materials. The brand sets itself apart by emphasizing transparency in manufacturing and a mission to “clean up the industry one component at a time,” redefining what conscious footwear can be.
