The Pope & Young Club announces its continued support for the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) with a grant for the 12th consecutive year.

“The Pope and Young Club has been a supporter of the National Archery in the Schools Program since its inception in 2002,” said CEO/President of NASP Roy Grimes. “The Club believed in NASP when a lot of folks didn’t think the program had a chance of enrolling any or many schools. Today, with more than 12,000 schools in the program from 47 states, 9 Provinces, and 10 countries, the Club’s faith in the potential of NASP is paying off for more than 2 million students per year.”

NASP is a 501.c.3 non-profit organization whose mission is to “Promote the teaching of target archery as a part of the in-school curriculum to improve educational performance of students and encourage their participation in the shooting sports.” NASP funding partners and sponsors are keys to the growth and stability of the program. These organizations recognize the “Mission” of NASP and the opportunity for archery to be a gateway to other outdoor activities.

In addition to the grant from the Pope & Young Club’s Conservation Fund, which has been $5,000 a year for the last 12 years, the Club also supports NASP by providing a “Matching Grant” program to help newly enrolled school districts purchase the start up equipment package required for all NASP programs.
