The Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) announced its headed to the Southeast for its 2012 Annual Business Conference.


The three destination finalists for the conference are:


* Baton Rouge, LA and the Crowne Plaza Hotel Executive Center Baton Rouge
* Columbia, SC and Embassy Suites Columbia-Greystone, and
* Tunica, MS and Veranda Tower at Harrah's Casino


POMA members asked the organization to plan a conference in the Southeast, and the organization listed, said POMA President Bill Miller. Approximately 25 percent of POMA's members live in the Southeastern Region of the country, so were happy to be headed to Dixie in 2012.


POMA Executive Director Laurie Lee Dovey said the organization is thrilled with the three finalists. They provided incredible detail in their bids, offered excellent communications and timely responses, and displayed enthusiasm about hosting POMA. They also sought out the cooperation of local and state agencies as major resources, which is a critical step in meeting the needs of the journalists and Corporate Partners who will attend the event.


The finalists will present their locales to the POMA Board of Directors and conference attendees during POMAs 5th Annual Business Conference in LaPorte, Ind., Aug. 11 – 14. The host site will be selected on Aug. 14 and announced at the culmination of the event.
