Polartec, LLC appointed Nate Simmons of Carbondale, Colorado-based Backbone Media, as its new director of marketing. Simmons will continue as a partner at Backbone Media and the agency will dedicate additional resources to manage the marketing and communications for the Polartec and Polarfleece family of brands.
 
Jon Adelman, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Polartec, states, “Nate has worked with our brand and our management team for many years and is the best suited candidate for the position. He knows our products and our customers intimately and will play an important role in driving our brands forward.”
 
Simmons will oversee the strategic marketing and branding plan for Polartec while Ian Anderson of Backbone Media will take over the day-to-day public relations and product placement functions. Greg Williams at Backbone will continue to manage the media planning for Polartec.
