Wool sock manufacturer point6 announced the opening of a new Colorado-based home office.

Founded in 2008 by Peter and Patty Duke, point6 puts a new spin on traditional merino wool sock construction to create an exceptional product with unparalleled longevity. The Dukes helped to establish the awareness of performance wool in the outdoor industry over 16 years ago and now bring point6 to market as the next step in the evolution of the merino wool movement. Their accomplishments include the founding of SmartWool, now owned by The Timberland Company.

The company's anticipated growth prompted the investment in a central sales, marketing and office headquarters based in Steamboat Springs, Colo. The investment also marks point6's commitment to support its retailers, customers and rep force with streamlined office facilities and business operations.

“point6 is committed to manufacturing the highest quality merino wool products supported by the best customer service. We are excited to bring our talented team together in our new location so we can collaborate and develop new strategies for success,”said Peter Duke, point6 founder and CEO.

In addition to the Dukes, the point6 team is comprised of Chris Rounds, Sales Director; Betsy Seabert, Marketing Director; Deanna Wille, Customer Service Manager; Jodi Lightfoot, Operations Director; Brad Pass, Product Technician; and Phil Sande, Canadian Sales Manager. point6 also welcomes its newest team member, Reshell Leonard, who brings over fifteen years of experience from various roles in accounting and financial analyses for top-tier brands like Crocs, Inc.

point6 entered its first season at retail in the outdoor market during the winter of 2009/10 and received positive feedback from both retailers and the media.
