Point6 named Philip Sande as international sles director effective immediately. Sande will retain his current role as Canadian general manager, in addition to taking on greater responsibilities to manage and grow the company’s international sales channels.

A Montreal native, Sande has served as Canadian general manager since the brand’s debut in 2008.

Since that time, Sande has been instrumental in driving sales growth and product distribution for the Canadian market, opening and serving over 300 core specialty retail stores in three years. He brings nearly two decades of outdoor industry sales experience working with performance merino wool, including 15-years in international sales.

Point6 owners and founders, Peter and Patty Duke helped introduce merino wool to the outdoor industry nearly 20-years ago, and have been working to educate the market about the performance benefits of this miracle fiber ever since. With decades of combined merino expertise, the Duke’s launched Point6 in 2008 and along with it introduced new technologies for merino products that are softer and more durable.

“We’d like to congratulate Philip for a job well done,” noted Peter Duke, CEO with Point6.

“His passion for performance merino wool and industry expertise mirrors our vision, as evidenced by his success introducing Point6 to the Canadian market. We’re excited to offer him this promotion as we continue to grow the brand internationally.”

Sande’s focus will be to direct and manage Point6’s existing international accounts, while opening new territories and maintaining his role as general manager for the Canadian market.

“Point6 is quickly becoming known as a brand synonymous with superior quality that consumers and retailers can trust,” commented Philip Sande, International Sales Director for Point6. “It’s an honor to accept this position and take on a larger role with the company.”
