Winmark Corp., the parent of Play It Again Sports, will join the S&P SmallCap 600. The firm is replacing Guess, Inc., which is being acquired by Authentic Brands Group, LLC (Authentic).
Winmark Corp.’s move to the S&P SmallCap 600 will be effective prior to the opening of trading on Monday, January 26.
Winmark operates several resale franchises, including Plato’s Closet, Once Upon A Child, Play It Again Sports, Style Encore, and Music Go Round.
At September 27, Winmark Corp. operated 1,377 franchises. The company has awarded an additional 77 franchises that have not yet opened.
