Phiten, the maker of the titanium necklace, announced an exclusive contract with Carmelo Anthony of the NBA's Denver Nuggets, making the star player the first NBA athlete to endorse Phiten branded sports accessories.

Anthony becomes an official Phiten athlete through the new endorsement that will extend through the 2010-11 NBA season including post season play.  Phiten will create a Denver Nugget's team necklace and bracelet that will be available to fans in fall 2010 and will become part of Phiten’s existing NBA Collection.

Anthony stated: “NBA players, and all professional athletes, are always looking improve their performance and stay in the game longer which drew me to Phiten in the beginning.  Phiten's reputation for speeding up recovery and keeping my energy up is why I became a Phiten athlete.  I’m excited that fans will be able to get their Denver Nuggets gear for the upcoming season.”

Since entering the NBA, Anthony has emerged as one of the most well-known and popular players in the league.  He was named to the All-Rookie team, All-Star three times and to the All-NBA team four times.  Anthony has led the Nuggets to two division titles and to the playoffs every season since his rookie year.  In 2009, he helped the Nuggets advance to the Conference Finals for the first time since 1985.  As a member of the USA national team, Anthony won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics and gold at the 2008 Olympics.

Headquartered in Torrance, Calif., Phiten shops are located in Seattle, Torrance and Honolulu. Phiten Co.'s worldwide sales topped $200 million last year, according to a report in Bloomberg News.
