Kamik, a division of Genfoot America, has selected Peter Baker to the position of Vice President of Global Marketing. Prior to joining Kamik, Baker served as the Senior Director, Global Brand Management for the Timberland Company based in Stratham, NH.

At Kamik, Baker will oversee the brand’s effort to expand its reach both within the core outdoor segment and more mainstream channels of distribution for all of Kamik’s business segments, including men’s, women’s and children’s.

“We’re delighted that someone with Peter’s expertise is coming on board to help take this brand to the next level,” said Kamik president Rick Cook.

“One recent industry report placed Kamik as one of the top five outdoor footwear brands in the US and SportsScan declared our children’s Rocket as the best selling children’s winter boot in the industry,” said Cook. “With Peter on board, we’re excited about building on this momentum and becoming a dominant player in the outdoor footwear market,” said Cook.

At Timberland, Baker was responsible for all brand and external business development activities for Timberland around the world including positioning, sub-branding, consumer segmentation, external partner negotiation, communication strategies and platform development. Prior to working at the Timberland Company, Baker held senior marketing positions at the Coca Cola Company and Miller Brewing Company.
