Perry Ellis International promoted Gary Rubin to president of its direct-to-consumer division, effective immediately. In his new role, Rubin will be responsible for improving the strength and profitability of the entire direct-to-consumer channel, including retail stores and e-commerce websites for all of Perry Ellis International brands while reinforcing their national and international reach.

Rubin joined Perry Ellis International in 2006, most recently serving as senior vice president of merchandise and design for lifestyle brands. He brings more than 25 years of retail experience to his new role, including merchandising and management positions at leading retailers such as Parisians, Beall's, Saks Inc., and May Company.
